Position title: Early Childhood Educator Substitute; I/T & 3-5 Program
Location: Wiggles and Giggles Daycare; Fort St. John BC
Terms: On-Call/Casual Position
Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Join us as an on-call substitute at the Wiggles and Giggles Group Daycare. Both our facilities need substitute teachers to work in any of our programs when staff are sick or away. You’ll work directly with the other staff in our facility to provide care to children between the ages of 1 and 12. This is a great position for someone looking to learn more about working in childcare.

Responsibilities:

• To work closely with the Infant/Toddler and 3-5 year program team providing quality inclusive care
• To maintain a clean and safe environment
• To interact directly with the children and aid in providing quality childcare and creative programming
• To ensure that all safety and supervision standards are followed and maintained
• To release children only to those authorized by parent/guardian, to ask for identification in order to ensure that the authorized pick-up has been verified
• To maintain the confidentiality of all information related to the centre, the children, their families and staff

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Educator course(s) an asset; however the BC Responsible Adult Course will be accepted
• If you don’t have the minimum requirement of a Responsible Adult Course, we will help you pay for the course. The course is online and can be completed at home.
• Successful candidate will be required to undergo a Criminal Reference Check
