We are currently hiring a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our infant program in Fort St. John at our 9820 110 avenue daycare location.
Position Title: Early Childhood Educator (Infant and Toddler Certification)
Location: Wiggles and Giggles Daycare; Fort St. John B.C.
Terms: Permanent Full time 40 hours per week
Salary: Competitive wages for the level of qualification and benefits after 3 months. Infant and Toddler wage starts at $23/hour plus the $6 Government Top up
Start Date: May 2025
Responsibilities:
- You will work in our infant program 110 avenue daycare location.
- You will work closely with the other teachers in the room to design and execute the curriculum.
- To establish and maintain positive relationships with families, children and staff
- To maintain a clean and safe environment
- To interact directly with the children and aid in providing quality childcare and creative programming
- To ensure that all safety and supervision standards are followed and maintained
- To release children only to those authorized by parent/guardian, to ask for identification in order to ensure that the authorized pick-up has been verified
- To maintain the confidentiality of all information related to the centre, the children, their families and staff
Requirements:
- Early Childhood Educator license with Infant and Toddler Certification
- High level of organizational and customer service skills and asset
- Diplomas, certificates or other evidence of training related to child growth and development
- Current first aid
- Three character reference letters
The successful candidate will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check.
